New Creation! Ethelinda the Dragon

Wayneston Bears presents:

Ethelinda the Dragon

We are pleased to inform you that we have a new girl dragon, Ethelinda available now for adoption.

She is the first dragon we have made using Viscose mohair. The colour of the fur is unique, it's a blend of tangerine with darker orange tips. Her insets, belly and wings are made of pastel pink mohair.

Ethelinda has needle-felted eyelids. She is five-way jointed and has wire armatures on her arms, legs, back, tail and wings.

Her feet and paws are especially detailed, taking hours to perfect and are made from ultra-suede through needle sculpting.

Her epoxy claws on her paws and feet are individually hand sculpted. She is lovingly filled with a mixture of polyfill and crushed garnets.

Ethelinda is now available on Bear Pile:

Or you may adopt directly from my website:

We hope you like the new dragon, wishing you a wonderful day.

Day Dreamer's New Home

Day Dreamer found his new mum and flew to US last week. It's hard for me to part with him as he is the most favorite creation that I have created so far.

Day Dreamer won the People's Choice Award last month at Brisbane Winter Wonderland and has made me really proud. He's is really a very special bear to me and I will always remember him.

Today his new mum wrote me an email expressing how much she loves him. It makes my day and it's feels very special to me. Together with the email is an attachment of Day Dreamer with his new siblings.

I want to thank Nora, for adopting Day Dreamer and the lovely email. =)

Day Dreamer now looks very happy with his big family of panda siblings.

Nibbles the Little Mouse

Nibbles is born on the same week I created Snapple. He is made from grey Viscose Mohair fur which I bought last month in Winter Wonderland.

Viscose mohair fur has a strong backing, it's a little stiffer than mohair hence it's very easy to work with and it doesn't fray easily.

Nibbles has now been adopted...Thanks

Nibbles' grey fur is soft with dark tips. I really love working with this colour.
I hope you like my new little mouse which I shared today.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Hugs, Wayne

Wayneston Bears @ the Singapore Gifts Show 10 - 12 July

The Singapore Gifts Show 2013 is an annual event that has been established since 2006. Spanning over 3 days from 10-12 July, the exhibition attracted traders from across Asia Pacific to showcase their products and services.

A group photo on first day of the show
Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) invited some of their graduates from the School of Design to participate in this year’s exhibition. Wayneston Bears is honored to be one of the selected few to be part of this collaboration.

Countless local / international buyers and corporate visitors came down to see all the products and services that were on display. Many came to our booth to view our works. I received plenty of positive feedback which was really encouraging for young aspiring entrepreneurs like myself.

With my senior, CJ
My juniors also had a wonderful experience during the exhibition. One of them, Deco Design, is set up by Melvin and Elijah. Specializing in Terrarium, their works are suitable in beautifying homes and offices. Workshops are available for people who are interested. You can visit their Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/decodesigns.eco for more information. One day, I would also like to attend his workshop......... for free I hope!

Jia Xiang, the founder of Sapiens Design, provides creative designs and solutions to clients.

Many friends, lecturers, current students and graduates of NYP School of Design came to support the event. As a senior,  I enjoy sharing my working experience with juniors who dropped by. Most of them have just graduated from NYP School of Design while others are just about to experience working life. I emphasize the importance of setting up your own goals and visions in life to make it more fulfilling and meaningful.

I would like to thank Nanyang Polytechnic for giving budding entrepreneurs like us the opportunity to display our works, creating more public awareness of our respective companies and enabling us to network with people.

I would also to express my gratitude to my best friend Philip for coming down to help me take pictures for me and my friends!

Come visit us @ the Singapore Gifts Show!

Snapple

Nibbles

When i was sending out my mailing list this afternoon, i happened to chance upon this QR Code Image Application.

It perked my curiosity and thus, I decided to try out QR codes on my latest mouse creations as I was interested to see how they would turn out. Verdict? It really works as advertised with a QR Code Reader App. It was as easy as 1, 2, 3! This would save people the hassle of keying the website link in a web browser just to go to the online site.

Here's 2 new mice which I have recently created specially for the Singapore Gifts show. Presenting to you........ Snapple and Nibbles!! They would love to see you there next week from 10-12 July 2013.

Do drop bye and say hello if you are around the area. Don't forget the cheese!!

See you there!
